Flowers After The Rain

Hey guys, to start off my 'summer blogging' I have a three part series for you!
I took all of these photos in one day and I liked so many of them I decided to make three posts out of it so I could have more of them on my blog.

I took all of these last month and I'm just getting around to posting them now due to school and finals.

It had just rained before Isabel and I went out to take these and I really like the way the water droplets look on the flowers.

It was really foggy that day and it made the trees look cool.

I just really love all of the flowers that are out now, the winter was way too long for my liking.  I'm so glad to see the green trees and to not have to wear winter coats anymore.

I hope you enjoy the colors and beauty of the flowers and I hope everyone is having some warmer weather now.

Stay tuned for parts two and three, they'll be out within the next few weeks!

Digital Photography Final Project

For the final assignment of my digital photography course I was supposed to chose 10 photos that I am proud to display.  This is what I came up with!

I made this panorama of my dad's favorite spot when the sun was rising, I think this was my favorite project of the course.

Here is another shot of the same spot on a day that was more grey and the trees hadn't gotten leaves on them yet.

This picture is taken from inside a friends house, I like the way the bottles are the only colorful thing in the shot and the light from the window makes everything else look dark.

This was another project we were assigned, for this one we had to draw a photo we took with the GIMP editor.  I'm actually pretty proud of mine!

My grandparents got these flowers for my mom and I in early April and they made me smile because it's always nice to see colorful bright flowers when it's dark and cold outside.

I took this picture a few weeks ago, the deer let me get really close to them, I think they might be just as curious about us as we are about them!

This was from when we learned about making overlays in GIMP.  I liked the way this one turned out because of the way the trees go around my face.

This is my friends Husky, I don't know what made her look at me like that but it made a cute picture!

And for my final picture, heres a shot of fireworks, a classic end to any show.  I took this over the summer in Ocean City with my family.

I hope you enjoyed these as much as I enjoyed taking and creating them!

A Study of Tree Silhouettes.

8:00 pm

8:20 pm

8:25 pm

I just thought this series of tree/sky photos was neat because of how much the sky changed over the course of 30 minutes.  I wish I thought to get the same frame for each picture but I guess I'll just have to try it again sometime!

Flea Market Fun

On Saturday my mom, my Aunt Leigh and I went to the Cleveland Flea Market.

It was very enjoyable to see all of the treasures that ranged from vintage findings to handmade items.

At times it felt like a big scavenger hunt with no specific objective but it was fun the whole time.

While we were eating lunch a neat band called 28-North played.  I thought they rocked and it was amusing to see the drummer struggling to stay in front of the sign in the wind.

These are two neat things my mom spotted on the way home, the first is a really old tuxedo rental sign and the second is an interesting library.  The library looked closed but it was intriguing because the building was unusually thin and the door had the words public library carved into the stone above it, I was just happy to see the building looking in good shape and not falling apart.

These were my final spoils for the day;
A navy blue polka-dotted drop waist dress, some overall shorts, a red polka-dotted collared shirt, an old avengers comic book, a pack of Batman trading cards (with bubblegum! (that I won't eat because it's probably really old..), two old Charles Dickens books, and a book of scores by Schubert.

I had a spectacular time hanging out with my mom and my Aunt this weekend and I can't wait to go to the next one!
Final consensus, flea markets are super rad.

My Disarray of Photo's.

Hello everyone who reads my blog,
I'm sorry I've been neglecting my blogging duties the past couple of months.  To make up for it I've made you all a collaboration of photos that I've taken since my last post.  They are all pretty random, but I hope you enjoy them anyway!

These are some roses my grandpa and his barbershop quartet brought my mom and I when they sang for us.  They are just the sweetest group of men, and they have great voices too!

Here are some flowered bracelets Aunt Leigh and I made.

Tea from when I went to a tea party/tour at Carol's house with my lovely book club girls.

This isn't very artsy or anything but I think it's pretty hilarious!  This is Rini with her cat-yoga mat. (which is fabric filled with highly concentrated catnip which make the cat's go insane!)

Here are some more shots that I took at Aunt Leigh's house.  I think her typewriter is just about the coolest thing ever.  And I thought the flowers looked kind of neat when I put them on top of the plate I used for paint the night before.

This one was actually sort of an accident, I was setting up the tripod to videotape a duet that my friend and I play together and this happened, I thought it was kind of a cool photo.

Here is a little mouse that made it's way into our house, and a deer with its antlers.

And then there's the world's most adorable and fluffy dog, Henry.  He was waiting at the door for my mom to come home because she's his favorite.

Well I hope you enjoyed this disarray of photos that I've been collecting for a while now.  Hopefully I'll have something up for you again by next month!

Winter is beautiful, but why does it have to be so cold?

The other day it snowed a lot and it was just coming down in blankets of big fluffy snow flakes, it only ended up being a few inches of snow but it looked like it would be more.

There was this really huge icicle on the corner of our house after the big freeze here, I thought it looked really cool and I wanted to get some pictures of it before it melted.  My hands were frozen but I think it was worth it!

This is just a star thing we have on the door that I like..

I think the snow is nice and pretty and all but I would love some warmer weather.. Sadly thats just wishful thinking as it is only January and we have about 3 more months of cold to look forward too.
